About
Gunners’ Barracks was constructed in 1873 and is of national significance as one of the finest examples in Sydney of a nineteenth-century fortified building with its stone quarried locally.
The barracks were excavated into the cliff side and linked by tunnels to the adjacent fortifications forming part of part of a network of fortifications that were established to protect Sydney Harbour from attack.
The natural and cultural heritage of this former defence site offers a variety of unique photographic opportunities with historic sandstone backdrops and magnificent harbour scenery.
In 2005, Grand Pacific Group extended its brand and concept to the stunning North Shore 1870s Harbour side building in Mosman. Exquisitely beautiful on the outside, warm and charming on the inside, this stunning establishment has been designed without compromise and delivers unforgettable experiences to all guests.
Gunners’ Barracks is renowned for its Traditional High Tea service, beautifully crafted A La Carte lunch menu & spectacular waterfront wedding receptions.
Forever timeless and exquisitely intimate Gunners’ Barracks will exceed all your expectations.
